What is therapy?
Simply, two people sitting together in conversation.
The conversation is different from those of every day, it’s a very particular type of conversation as there is one focus from start to finish and that is you, the individual who is struggling with one aspect or more of yourself, of your life or perhaps life in general.
This conversation has two minds working together to develop a deep understanding of what is going on, what has gone on, and what, with that developing understanding, can and needs to change so that you can live more the life you want to live.
Therapy offers you someone to talk to, to understand your thoughts and your feelings, in order to improve mental health. Different therapies approach this in different ways. You’ll find some detail on some of the different approaches below.
