This focus in therapy can be particularly helpful if you are experiencing problems such as relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, stress, anxiety, loss, depression.

Therapy allows for exploration, discovery and the expression of aspects of yourself that are hidden, covered and perhaps uncomfortable to acknowledge.  Its aims are to enable you to develop awareness of your thoughts, eg, what makes you feel positive, anxious, or depressed, and the actions which follow. Therapy aims to equip you to cope with difficult situations in a more adaptive way.

Therapy doesn’t fix you, as you don’t have a disease.  Rather, good therapy means you know that you have the resources to deal with life's ups and downs.  And life will always have ups and downs.

When we look at your life's foundations, we can access your strengths and self-belief and choose what we work on for change and acceptance; your history has contributed to you today and you learn how it can be part of what empowers you in change.
